Abstract

The National Association of State Units on Aging has been analyzing and reporting on the state role in the evolution of home and community based services and supports for 45 years. This report, based on responses received from 52 states and territories, continues that strong tradition.

Key finding of this report reflect the diversity, not only of aging programming among the states, but of the population served within the states. States are grappling with financial pressures due to the economic decline and decreases in other sources of funding while successfully strengthening, enhancing, and expanding many of their aging programs and services (abstract from: http://www.nasua.org).
