Description:

This waiver allows children aged 17 and younger who have intense behavioral or medical needs and are at risk for institutionalization to remain living at home and in the community. Children younger than 4 must have a developmental delay, and those from ages 5 to 17 must have a developmental disability. Services offered by this waiver include: home modifications, specialized medical equipment and supplies, personal assistance, AT, and behavioral services.

Description:

This waiver provides Medicaid benefits in the home or community for children with a medical diagnosis of Autism who are most in need due to the severity of their disability. Children must meet additional targeted criteria. It is targeted for children diagnosed with autism under 6 years of age. These children need to be medically diagnosed with autism with intensive behavioral needs who are at risk of institutionalization. Services offered include case management and behavioral therapies.
